Annual Meeting 2002
Hampden Park Co-op's Annual Meeting will take place
on Saturday, November 16, at 6:00 p.m. We will meet in
the basement of the St. Anthony Park United Methodist
Church, where we have met for the past several years.
The church is at the corner of Como Avenue and Hillside,
a few blocks west of Raymond.
6:00 Gathering: Conversation, coffee, a chance to meet other
members. The co-op will provide snacks and beverages; you bring an
appetizer or dessert.
6:30 Meeting: Reports, election of new board members, and
discussion of board actions. Remember that you must be an up-to-date
working member in order to vote.
7:15 Speaker: Don Olson, our book distributor, is also a KFAI
programmer. He is an expert on local co-op history, and can give us
some perspective on the current cooperative scene.
Elections for Board Positions
This year we will have two openings for seats on the Hampden Park
Co-op Board. In order to offer voters a choice, we need at least three
people to run for those seats.
If you are interested in being on the HPC Board, see the information
posted in the entryway as of mid-October; or you can contact Fred
Stenborg at . You must be a working
member to serve on the board. Previous board experience is helpful.
If you are curious about what board membership entails, talk to any
of the current board members: Gregg Deluga, Natasha Fleischman,
Matt Gauder, Karen Gill-Gerbig, Nick Jordan, Melissa Lindholm, John
Rogers, Fred Stenborg, and David Tuff.
Please note that the co-op will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, so
that Saturday afternoon staff and volunteers may attend the meeting.
