Arts Off Raymond
Artists' studios and local businesses will be open to the public Friday,
November 16, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturday, November 17, from
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. More than 60 local artists in six buildings will open
their studios and will be on hand to showcase their latest accomplishments and
give a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their works-in-progress. Visitors will be
able to view and purchase art made in a wide variety of mediums.
The tour begins at the intersection of Raymond and University, where you can
pick up a map at Roasting Stones. There will also be signs placed on sidewalks
inviting the public inside.
One of Hampden Park Co-op's staff, Linda Hatfield, is one of the artists who
will be displaying art at her studio. Linda is an illustrator. Her medium is
pen and ink with watercolor on wood boxes. Her studio, Mended Wing, is located
in the Chittenden and Eastman Building, 2402 University Ave., Suite 502. She
would love it if Co-op folks would stop by during the art crawl and say
hello.
