Co-op Expansion

What a lot of excitement we've had around here! Co-op volunteers are eagerly asking how they can help with the proposed expansion. We are keeping a running list of people interested in helping out, from gopher to professional carpenter. If you're interested, drop a note in the Membership Coordinator envelope, near the calendars in the entryway.

As the summer progresses, there will be additional orientation sessions so that we have plenty of volunteers on board to help with the move into our new space. If you've been waiting for an open spot on the orientation calendar, you won't have to wait much longer!

Mayfest

In the midst of all the excitement, we also had a successful Mayfest. Many thanks to all the volunteers who braved the drizzle to help with the festivities, especially to those who had to take down wet tents! In spite of the weather we had a good day, including record-breaking sales.

Volunteer Reminders

Remember to let me know if you want to change your discount level, either up or down. If you are waiting to move to the 28% level, drop me a note to remind me. There will probably be a couple of openings at that level over the summer.

Also, if you are having trouble finding a shift that fits your schedule, you can request a specific day(s) each month, and your name will go on the calendar before it is posted. Again, leave a note in the Membership Coordinator envelope.

Musicians, this is a great time of year to offer your services at the co-op. Two hours of music give you one shift of volunteer credit. For details, check the list of alternative volunteer tasks on the calendar bulletin board.
