Ingredients
- 1 c nutritional yeast
- 1 c flour (any variety of wheat)
- 3 T corn starch
- 1 t salt
- 2 c water
- 1⁄4 c butter or margarine
- 2 t wet mustard (optional)
Instructions
Mix dry ingredients in a sauce pan.
Gradually add water, making a smooth
paste, and then thinning with water.
Place over low to medium heat and stir
constantly until it thickens and bubbles.
Let it bubble about 30 seconds and
remove from heat. Whip in butter or
margarine and mustard.
Notes
This is a very thick sauce. I use it on
broccoli and cauliflower. It is good
cold, spread on bread or crackers.
