Mayfest

This year's Mayfest plant sale is scheduled for May 7, 8, and 9, with a mini-fair on Saturday, May 8. We will need many volunteers to help with plants, cashiering, food sampling, and much more. You can sign up on the member bulletin board in the entryway.

Introduction to the Member Bulletin Board

Most of you have seen the member bulletin board in the entryway. It's the very large one that's full of calendars. Here's a review of what you will find on that bulletin board:

• If you wish to become a volunteer, you can sign up for orientation on the form posted on the left side of the bulletin board. Orientations are held two to three times a month.
• If you'd like to leave me a note, there is a manila envelope at the bottom left. You can also reach me at naomi@hampdenparkcoop.com.
• Along the top of the bulletin board there are three large calendars labeled "Morning, "Afternoon," and "Evening." Sign up there for regular volunteer shifts.
• Just below the "Morning" calendar there is a "Front End" calendar. Sign up there to work with the front end staff in the "new" space (the north side of the co-op).
• The bottom center calendar is for cashiers. Make sure you don't accidentally sign up there when you are looking for an open spot.
• The bottom right calendar is for cheese cutters and packagers. You must have permission to sign up for cheese cutting. Anyone may sign up for packaging. Remember that these shifts start at 5:30 p.m.
• At the bottom and upper left you will find our bylaws, information about the International Co-operative Alliance, and other materials pertaining to co-op life.
