Ingredients

  • 1⁄4 c ground cumin
  • 1⁄4 c ground coriander
  • 1⁄4 c ground fennel
  • 2 T ground turmeric
  • 2 T ground mustard seed (brown or yellow)
  • 2 T ground cardamom
  • 1 t ground cinnamon
  • 1⁄4 t ground cloves
  • 2 T dried crushed garlic flakes
  • chili powder or crushed chilies: 1 teaspoon for mild, up to 2 tablespoons for hot

Instructions

Mix ingredients in bowl and store in spice jar. Use in the same way as commercially prepared curry powder.

Notes

For a deeper color, add 1 to 2 tablespoons sweet paprika.
