Ingredients

  • 1 c loosely packed wakame
  • 1⁄2 c loosely packed cut-up kombu
  • 1⁄2 c loosely packed arame
  • 6 c boiling water
  • 2 T tamari or bragg’s liquid aminos
  • 5 T rice vinegar
  • 3 T maple syrup or brown rice syrup
  • 1 T umeboshi plum vinegar
  • 1 t roasted sesame oil

Instructions

Rinse sea vegetables in a fine strainer and place in large bowl. Pour boiling water over the vegetables. Add tamari or liquid aminos, let sit 10 minutes and then drain through a fine strainer. Whisk vinegars, syrup, and sesame oil together in a small bowl. Pour over vegetables and mix well. Cover and cool. Refrigerated leftovers will keep for 3-4 days.
