Ingredients

  • 1 c wild rice
  • 3 c water
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon salt (optional) or 1 cup beef, chicken, or vegetable bouillon (optional)

Instructions

Wash rice thoroughly. Heat rice and water and salt or bouillon to boiling. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer until all liquid has been absorbed, 15–20 minutes. Rice should be tender, but not “rolled back.” Cooked wild rice will triple in volume.
